CAROL COURTNAGE is the Project Ocean Vision Team Leader. She leads on conservation and expedition research, planning and logistics. Carol is responsible for artistic direction of Project Ocean Vision filming and production and is the musical director, keyboardist and vocalist for their band, Elysium Strand. Born Carol Kitson, she was raised in North Yorkshire and educated at Queen Margaret's, Escrick Park, York. Carol has many years experience of research and administration from her work in The House of Commons Research Department. Having spent several years running the International Three-Day Event, Bramham Horse Trials, she is a skilled organiser and equestrian. She later worked for a major financial investment company in Henley-on-Thames and a commercial law firm. |

Carol took up diving when she met Courtney and is a qualified Nitrox diver. Her interests include art, music, conservation and outdoor pursuits. She is the crew's stills photographer and second underwater video camera operator. Carol is dedicated to promoting the sustainable use of the world's resources and raising awareness of marine conservation through Project Ocean Vision video productions and articles. Carol Courtnage has been the driving force behind the establishment and growth of Project Ocean Vision and conducts the specialist marine conservation research for the Team's conservation videos.
